May 2025 – ABG Named Finalist in Two CX Categories
ABG Named Finalist in Two Categories at the 2025 U.S. Customer Experience Awards
American Bath Group has been named a finalist in two highly competitive categories at the 2025 U.S. Customer Experience Awards (US CXA): Best Business Change and Transformation and Best Use of Customer Insight and Feedback.
The US CXA is one of the most respected programs in the country for recognizing excellence in customer experience strategy and execution. It draws top organizations from every industry and celebrates those leading the way in delivering meaningful, measurable impact for customers. Previous winners include brands like Verizon, Ford Motor Company, CVS Health, and Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield—making ABG’s finalist recognition even more significant as we continue raising the bar across our industry.
This recognition comes at a pivotal moment in our journey. Over the past year, we’ve made tremendous strides in delivering a quality, sellable product—on time and complete. That foundational improvement has rebuilt trust, stabilized performance, and cleared the way for a broader transformation.
At the heart of that transformation is our Frictionless, Hassle-Free Experience initiative—a mindset and operating model focused on reducing effort, eliminating delays, and making it easier for both our customers and our people to succeed. It’s not just about process improvement; it’s about creating an experience that feels smooth, simple, and supportive from beginning to end.
The Best Business Change and Transformation nomination recognizes the structural and cultural shifts we’ve made to enable this kind of performance. The Best Use of Customer Insight and Feedback speaks to our ability to turn feedback into action—to listen, adapt, and improve in real time.
Winners will be announced on June 4, 2025.
April 2025 – Winner – Digital Shelf Transformer Award
ABG honored at the Salsify Digital Shelf Summit
ABG was honored with the Salsify Digital Shelf Transformer Award, presented at the Digital Shelf Summit held in New Orleans earlier this month. Team members, Randy Clough, Justin Donald, Olivier Lepage Dumont, and Justin Newman were present to accept the award for Outstanding Achievement in Efficiency Improvements (Existing Salsify Implementation).
The team is part of our Master Data Management Team (MDM) managed by Tony D’Amato, reporting to Dawn Bobeck. The Salsify tool is managed by Randy Clough who spoke at the event on Enhanced Content Syndication.
The 2025 Salsify Digital Shelf Transformer Awards honor our customers’ unrivaled performance, increased efficiency, and groundbreaking innovation.
What did ABG do to get nominated?
American Bath Group went from having “30-plus brands operating with inconsistent data processes and SKU onboarding done one guess at a time” to “a ‘data contract process’ that brought structure, accountability, and massive gains — 15,000 SKUs now meet standards and onboarding volume quadrupled with no extra headcount.”
June 2023 – Winner – Best Overall Change Project
ABG honored at the MACH Impact Awards
We are thrilled to announce that American Bath Group has been honored with the 2023 MACH Impact Innovation Award for Best Overall Change Project! This award is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and innovative thinking of the entire ABG Digital Operations Team and everyone involved in these projects. We are incredibly proud of this accomplishment, which serves as a validation of our commitment to excellence. It also shows the dedication of American Bath Group to our vision of Making a Positive Impact on People’s Lives through our fundamental pillars, among which is Driving Innovation.
Our competition in this category included some industry heavyweights, such as World Wildlife Fund, Mars Candies, and Primark, who were some of the 6 finalists selected from over 75 entries. Last year’s winner, LEGO Corp., had set the standard high for this award.
The MACH Impact Awards, brought to you by the MACH Alliance, are the only awards honoring the most globally innovative and impactful technology projects that utilize a MACH (microservices-based, API-first, Cloud native SaaS, Headless) strategy.
What did ABG do to get nominated?
ABG made a big change to its website systems. Prior to the change, we were using a ‘jack-of-all-trades’ platform that executed everything well but not great. While it was initially convenient to have all the functionalities available in one large platform, it was not always the most efficient or flexible way to operate.
With the support of the executive team, the decision was made to pivot to a different, faster, and more efficient way of working called MACH (also known as JAMStack). This allows us to pull information from a variety of specialized platforms, so we can leverage the best of the best for product information management (PIM), digital asset management (DAM), and much more. ABG now has more than 15 websites running on this new system and has generated significant savings in both dollars and man hours, while creating a scalable solution that allows us to grow wherever our ambition takes us.
